Dana & I connected online and when we spent time learning about each other we instantly found common ground: we both have a strong desire to help others heal and open themselves to their true calling.

Dana as a healer embodies the heart chakra. An empath, she feels deeply and as a result has overcome many life challenges, choosing to remain in a space of connectedness so her gifts can impact those that seek alignment and balance.

Q: Tell us a little bit about you, your company and your company's mission. 

A: First, I am so deeply honored to be highlighted here. Thank you! Hi, I'm Dana, and I was put on this planet to share love in my own way, by creating healing salon experiences for women to embody and live in their highest expression.

I am a Beauty Ritual Hairstylist and Reiki Master. I opened The Moonbeam Studio to offer unique services that bridge the gaps between sacred self-care and holistic healing. I love to show women how to explore the several beautiful versions and variations of living, embodiment, wholeness, ritual, and deep self-love.

It is also an incredible honor to teach women the ancient healing art of Reiki and how they can begin their own practice and career in this beautiful healing modality and lifestyle. My husband, Aaron, and I love to join inspired forces to create guided meditations.

I write the narrative and he'll compose the music to compliment. Not only does it nourish our souls, but it is our love offering to the world. I incorporate these meditations in my studio offerings to truly provide an intentional salon experience like no other.

Q: What is your superpower?  Tell us about a moment you recall that your superpower served you?

A: I feel my superpower is the ability to hold sacred space for others as a gifted empath. I believe that Hairstylists are healers by nature. We are with our guests through the thick and thin of life, helping them to look and feel their best through all the trials and triumphs of life.

I have helped several women to reach their holistic hair goals, but it's my unconditional softness that allows them to share their heart, and my ability to guide them through the daring waters, creating a healing and transformational experience that allows them to embody wholeness, and allows me the honor to build a particularly special relationship with them that goes beyond our sessions together.

Q: What are your rituals for self-care, healing or de-stressing? Is there a special place you go?

A: Since I was a child, I have always had a deep connection with the cosmos. I've always been curious about the mysteries of our galaxy and the universe. ⁠I am still connected to that childhood joy of being under the night sky, just watching the moon and stars.⁠

I found Reiki and meditation to help me navigate through life while suffering from excruciating symptoms of endometriosis and Grave's disease, as well as the emotional spiral from these autoimmune diseases.

Anytime I need sacred self-care, I find peace, harmony, and healing under the moon with my crystals, cards, and infinite curiosity.

Q: With which Chakra do you most identify and why?

A: Being an empath and healer, I resonate with the Heart Chakra deeply. Through Reiki, I can live and lead from this heart-centered space, and when I do, I find the sweetest moments, the best answers, and can witness the marvelous magic in this strange and beautiful life.
