People We Adore: Sarah Poet

We all have people we meet along the way, connect with and know we adore. As we share what we are up to we create a vibration and lock into areas of compatibility. Sarah and I met at an event in Asheville for women by women. I heard about her Ted Talk and was eager to connect. Sarah is a prolific writer and shares many of her incredible ideas and lessons on social media and linked in. I become a rabid fan. This Fall she offered a program and I opted in to be in her community, but really to be around her energy. Sarah embodies the heart chakra.

Q: Tell us a little bit about you, your company and your company's mission.Â
A:Â My Company has been through a few iterations in five years. I feel like I started out pretty naively, just gangbusters about masculine & feminine, and then starting a podcast called Sacred Remembering, and creating coaching programs with content I had learned and running them with groups of women. It was awesome, and not at all sustainable.
As my business and I both got older, I am becoming more and more interested in not only sustainability, but what I'm calling the Regenerative Feminine. How can we actually bolster the amount of feminine energy on this planet, not just "recover" or salvage it? My "dharma work" is something that came through a few years ago and I call Heartland.
Heartland is the work of regenerative feminine prosperity. It's like the New Earth Feminine template. I've been working on a book (writing it while I'm living it) and actually just shifted most of what was "business" into now something called Heartland Ministries.
We have a social network of women and it is becoming a place where women can share their skillsets and offerings, for actual dollars, but we're building this in community first, not focused on the hustle or constantly selling to one another. It's about getting sovereign, getting sacred, and letting the prosperity follow.
Q: What is your superpower? Tell us about a moment you recall that your superpower served you?
A:Â Goodness, honestly I have a few, and I say that humbly. But deciding "just one thing" to do in business has always been a struggle. Some things that I really love and am great at are: teaching (I was a school teacher in a previous career), leading sacred experiences, figuring out where feminine & masculine are out of balance and how to rebalance them, direct coaching & consulting for couples especially, clearing energy and connecting to the earth grids! I've recently started to run guided sessions for women to clear our connection to the earth grids, which has everything to do with our prosperity.
Q: What are your rituals for self-care, healing or de-stressing? Is there a special place you go?
A:Â I go to the woods with my dog to clear my energy. I also really love doing Kundalini Yoga, which I've practiced for four years now with Ra Ma Yoga out of LA. I also utilize my Structure & Flow program daily, which helps to set boundaries, prioritize tasks according to what is most important, and balance feminine yin and masculine yang energy.
Q: With which Chakra do you most identify and why?
A:Â The Heart. It's been a long road of clearing my heart and I love the power of my heart energy. Due to pain, being a woman in patriarchy, loss of a child, hardship - the heart takes a beating! To have journeyed back to my heart, all things considered, was a massive aspect of being a human for me. I'm always intending to stay in my heart and the grace that naturally arises from that space. (Though I also don't always get it right!)
