Q: What are your rituals for self-care, healing or de-stressing? Is there a special place you go?
A: My rituals for self-care, healing, and de-stressing are deeply rooted in both spiritual practice and connection to nature. I believe that nurturing my own well-being is essential to being able to guide and support others effectively.
One of my primary rituals is a daily meditation practice. Each morning, I create a sacred space in my home where I can sit quietly, surrounded by objects that hold personal significance—crystals, candles, and meaningful symbols. I begin with a few minutes of deep, mindful breathing, allowing myself to center and ground. This is followed by a meditation where I visualize cleansing light flowing through me, releasing any tension or negativity and filling me with peace and clarity.
Breathwork techniques are also a significant part of my self-care routine. By practicing conscious breathing, I can release emotional blocks and access deeper layers of my psyche. This helps me maintain a state of inner harmony and emotional balance.
I also engage in drumming, which is both meditative and energizing. The rhythmic beat of the drum connects me to the heartbeat of the earth, grounding me and facilitating a trance-like state where healing and insights can occur.
Nature is my sanctuary, and I often retreat to a special place near my home—a secluded grove in a nearby forest. Here, surrounded by the towering trees and the gentle sounds of the forest, I feel a profound sense of peace and connection to the earth. I walk barefoot on the forest floor, feeling the coolness of the soil and the texture of the leaves beneath my feet. This practice, known as earthing or grounding, helps me to discharge stress and absorb the healing energy of the natural world.
Communicating with my Spirit Guides and Ancestors is another vital aspect of my self-care. I set aside time to connect with them, seeking their wisdom and guidance. These spiritual connections provide me with a deeper understanding of my path and reinforce my sense of purpose.
Throughout the day, I practice pivoting away from any old patterns that try to emerge. Whenever I notice these patterns, I say out loud, "Not anymore, I am a Cycle Breaker." This affirmation empowers me to stay aligned with my highest self and break free from limiting behaviors.
By maintaining these self-care rituals, I ensure that I am grounded, balanced, and ready to serve others with the clarity and compassion that they deserve.
