Q: Tell us a little bit about you, your company and your company's mission.

Q: What is your superpower? Tell us about a moment you recall that your superpower served you?
A: My superpower is "Sisterhood as a Superpower." It’s about building connections that go beyond professional networking—it’s about forging a genuine community of support, upliftment, and growth. This power shines brightest in moments where mutual support transforms individual dreams into collective accomplishments, especially for people who often feel unseen.
One moment that stands out was early in Safo's journey. I was meeting with a group of haircare enthusiasts who shared personal stories of hair struggles, especially as they pertained to finding products tailored to textured hair and specific wellness goals. I sensed their frustrations and recognized that these weren’t just product gaps—they were lived experiences of feeling overlooked by an industry that often prioritizes trends over genuine needs.
Embracing sisterhood as my guide, I created a space where everyone felt heard, valued, and understood. I listened to their stories, reflected their hopes, and infused their feedback into Safo's formulations and marketing. This collaborative moment wasn't just about market research; it was the beginning of a supportive network that influenced Safo’s path. Together, we built a brand that honors inclusivity, creating products that don’t just sell but resonate deeply, embodying the voices and values of a true community.

Q: What are your rituals for self-care, healing or de-stressing? Is there a special place you go?
A: Self-care, for me, is a tapestry of daily rituals and intentional moments that ground and rejuvenate. My wellness journey began by exploring the wisdom of Ayurveda. There was something powerful and centering in the ancient practices of balancing mind, body, and spirit. This journey led me to embrace rituals rooted in Ayurvedic teachings, such as incorporating specific herbs into my diet, making time for daily oil massages, and practicing mindful eating. Ayurveda taught me to view wellness not as a destination but as a continuous, mindful practice.
Yoga has become a foundation of my daily rhythm. It’s more than a workout—it's a mental cleanse. Flowing through poses, connecting with my breath, and creating space within myself remind me to release tension and cultivate inner peace. Each time I step onto the mat, I’m not only working on my body but tuning into a deeper awareness. Beyond yoga, working out has become a vital part of my life, a commitment I maintain at least 4-5 times a week. It’s a blend of physical exertion and mental resilience that leaves me feeling energized, sharp, and ready to face any challenge.
My approach to time is deeply mindful. I prioritize moments that align with my values, focusing on being present and intentional with how I spend each day. Part of that time is spent with my two dogs, whose joyful energy is like therapy. I don’t need a special place for peace; simply being with them, watching them revel in the simplicity of each moment, brings me a sense of calm that no exotic retreat could match.
These rituals and choices are a reflection of a journey that’s as much about self-discovery as it is about well-being. Each practice, whether it’s on the mat, during a workout, or in a moment of stillness, is a step towards balance and harmony.

Q: With which Chakra do you most identify and why?
A: The **Root Chakra (Muladhara)** is the chakra I most identify with because it keeps me grounded and centered. Located at the base of the spine, the Root Chakra is all about stability, security, and feeling anchored in oneself and the world. For me, this grounding force is essential, especially in a fast-paced world where it's easy to feel unsteady or disconnected from what truly matters.
The Root Chakra’s energy allows me to remain focused and resilient, providing the foundation I need to pursue my goals with confidence and consistency. This grounding force helps me stay in touch with the present, mindful of my purpose and actions. It’s my sense of grounding that drives me to create wellness rituals, prioritize time with my dogs, and build intentional, authentic connections.
By staying rooted, I’m able to approach life’s challenges with calm and clarity, especially in my work at Safo, where creating stability and trust for our community is essential. The Root Chakra reminds me to stay connected to my values and the things that truly nourish me, providing a strong base for growth, resilience, and lasting impact.
