Co-founder and President of ADORAtherapy, Laura McCann Ramsey has been an entrepreneur and senior executive in the Fashion and Retail industry for over 20+ years. With a degree in Fashion from Parson’s School of Design Laura has continuously reinvented herself as a CEO, Supply Chain and PLM consultant, Digital Marketing Expert and Startup coach.
Laura has lead global business strategy for start-ups and large retail clients as the founder of WYSWYG, her consulting firm since 2009. Her unique expertise is in building businesses that require a blend of branding, technology and product development.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
I think perfection is a goal not a way of being and therefore, I never look for perfection. Happiness is a state and as such doesn’t last. I prefer to focus on feeling joy and self-love each and every day.
What is your greatest fear?
In my 20’s and 30’s I feared so much. I then chose to live a life where I would have to face many of my fears head on. Loss of love- Check. Loss of confidence- Check. Loss of financial stability- Did that too. What I learned from facing my fear, is that fear has many layers, and until you peel them you will always be faced the big one- AM I ENOUGH.. I work on that fear daily by listening to my self-talk and choosing kindness above all- especially for myself.
What is the trait you most dislike in yourself?
I like getting things done at the expense of enjoing the process of doing them.
What is the trait you most dislike in others?
I am challenged by a closed mind, someone who can’t listen and whose beliefs are anchored in fear.
Which living person do you most admire?
My mother. She is an amazing woman and a great role model. Plus she created me! She is always there for me but also for herself. The lessons she teaches me are the greatest ones: Love, self respect, courage, creativity, greatness.
What is your greatest extravagance?
I love massages and indulge in them every two weeks.
What is your favorite essential oil?
I love rose oil. I bought a bottle in the market in India when I traveled there from a boy who was an amazing saleman and kept us captive in his little shop for hours. When I wear it, it smells divine and it brings me back to that trip.
What is your current state of mind?
I have been feeling the most calm and joyous I have ever felt in the last few months. The change has been introducing a practice of gratitude, meditation and working on aspects of my subconscious instead of my conscious.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Selflessness- I say YOU come first..then the world.
What do you most dislike about your appearance?
I chose to not have a critical voice about my appearance. I can go from gorgeous to old and tired, if I choose to. So I allow myself to choose and don’t judge. I have reasons for wanting to look my best and reasons for needing to not care.
Which living person do you most despise?
I practice acceptance and forgiveness. There are some people that that is hard to apply to but I do my best.
Which Gal on the Go do you most identify with? Why?
I love the Beautiful Gal. She is French in appearance. I grew up in France and designed her to look like the girls I know in France. Also, I love blood orange.

How do you incorporate aromatherapy into your daily practice?
I use Chakra Boosts in the morning. I keep them in my medicine chest and apply them as part of my morning routine. I pick one or two based on my calendar. Meetings- I choose Communication. Busy Mondays: I choose Clarity. I use Vitality, the first chakra almost every day to anchor myself. During the day I keep on my desk Good Mood Boost and Prosperity! I use them every hour or so when I shift from activty to activity or am triggered by an email or someone.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
Kitty Cats.. I use it to feed my 6 cats and yell it out twice a day when it's meal time.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
I love so many of the people in my life, there is no way to choose just one. But I’d have to say my grandfather, Lou, my mother’s father was my favorite person.
Which talent would you most like to have?
I’d like to be psychic.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I have had an amazing series of life experiences from growing up in Paris for 13 years, to being a child actress till I was 17. I’ve started several businesses and have achieved some great heights. I also have had great lows. I’d say COURAGE is my greatest acheivement as I never give up.

I am living there now, Asheville NC. I love it here.
