People We Adore: Introducing Lorena Mann

I met Lorena on a mastermind call I was speaking to about third acts. When we learned we were both working with energy, Lorena offered me a reiki session, and I sent her some of our mood boosting products. So without further ado, check out my Interview with Lorena.

Q: Tell us about yourself and what you are up to in the world?

A: Like most people, I am many things and wear many hats! Right now, I am living strong in my 3 “BIG E’s”: Energy Healer, Event Executive, Entertainer. I find success and fulfillment in all three. But, right at this moment, I am completely driven and excited by a new energy healing program I’ve developed called TUNE-INsight.

TUNE-INsight is a uniquely customized Energy Healing and Mindfulness Program which utilizes guided meditation, Reiki, sound/music therapy, chakra balancing, aromatherapy and more. This customized program will provide personal tools to help you transition out of being stuck and into a healthier and more fulfilling life. You will gain personal INsight to help you break through the challenges and fears that have been holding you back from advancing in your professional career, relationships and health matters.

Q: What else do you do?

A: I’m thrilled to be the Executive Producer & Stage Director for Katie Couric’s “Going There” 11 city book tour scheduled for October & November 2021. Also, I produce live and virtual, national and international events, conferences and galas. Many of these award-winning events have featured Oprah Winfrey, Vice President Kamala Harris, Meryl Streep, Barbra Streisand, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Tom Hanks, Adam Driver, Hilary Swank and many other notables who advocate on behalf of women’s rights or caregivers of wounded veterans. Also, I’m the lead vocalist in the New York based R&B/soul/funk band Tequila Soul Project. But what has been my true calling over the past few years, and I believe that my entire life has been leading up to this work, is my entrepreneurial business practice as an Intuitive Energy Healer. I’m a Reiki Master & Teacher (Usui), Animal Reiki II Practitioner Usui), Certified Angel Guide and Angel Oracle Card Reader (Kyle Gray), Chakra Balancing & Healing (Anodea Judith), creator of personalized guided meditations, sound/music therapy, crystal therapy, shamanism and numerology. Helping people help themselves is truly the most fulfilling and rewarding experience of my life.
Q: Where do you live?

A: I live in Rockland County, a very small area of New York just 20 minutes north of the George Washington Bridge, right along the scenic Hudson River. But as an Energy Healer I have the ability to conduct distant healing sessions by using technology. It allows both myself and my clients to be in the comfort of our own homes. From my Reiki studio, I have successfully serviced clients in California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Toronto, Canada!
Q: What chakras are your working on healing?

A: I’m always focused on my heart chakra. It is the center of my body, the center of the 7 main chakras and my heart is at the center of everything I do. If my heart isn’t balanced, aligned or flowing, then nothing is. As a singer, I find that I can balance my throat chakra when I am singing but I sometimes find it difficult to express myself verbally. When that happens, to keep my throat chakra open and flowing, I will use Reiki along with mediation and aromatherapy.
Q: When did you find your passion?

A: I’ve always had my passion. It found me when I was born, and it hasn’t let go! Throughout my entire life my passion has transformed into new and different callings. I sing, dance, paint, sketch, write, teach and I’m an entrepreneur. I can honestly say that I am the happiest when my passions are stirring up something new and exciting!
Q: How do you Adore Yourself?

A: Lately, I’ve been adoring myself more than usual. Long hot showers where I let “showers of unforgiveness” roll off my body and down the drain. Organic food choices, meditation, self-Reiki, listen to music, connect with friends and family, read and journaling. And, my favorite way to adore myself is to take naps with my sweet cat, Little Miss Ella. But the most recent and new way I like to adore myself is by decluttering! I feel so free and clear since I’ve started to discard or donate items that no longer serve me. I still have the memories and that is what is most important.
Q: How would your friends describe you?

A: That’s an interesting question. When I’m not feeling my best and in a funk, or should I say, when I’m in a transition, my best friend, Clarissa Dane Hughes, an incredible photographer, author, and singer/songwriter, always says to me “I wish you could see what I see when I look at you and when I experience you, and when I see you perform.” When I asked her to explain she stated, “you’re beautiful, caring, loving, funny, talented and kind to others and everybody loves you!” Keep in mind she’s my best friend, so I listen when she speaks to that part of my soul. Everybody needs a Clarissa in their life!
Q: What is your typical mood?

A: Lately, I find that I am very quiet and withdrawn. I’m highly empathic and pick up on other people’s energy whether they are near or far. It gets exhausting, but I know how to protect myself so that I do not carry around energies that are not mine. And as much as I’m an extrovert when performing or producing, I’m an intense introvert. I find that I can easily disconnect from the outside world. I find comfort, creativity and peace of mind in my quietness.
Q: What are you working on right now in your life for healing and balancing?

A: I’m working on forgiveness. I am learning how to forgive myself for not loving myself when I need to. And I’m learning how to forgive those who have hurt me. I journal about it every day. I’ve worked hard to forgive and I’ve found Kyle Gray’s book Wings of Forgiveness a comforting and loving tool. I can finally say that I’ve moved on from living in the pain of unforgiveness and have moved into living a much calmer and loving life of forgiveness. It was not easy, and every day I give thanks for the lessons. but it certainly has been worth the time and effort. It’s another way of adoring myself!
Q: When did you find out about Adoratherapy?

A: I had the pleasure of hearing Laura McCann speak to a group of women who are participating in a The Renaissance MasterHERmind experience. Laura inspired this group of highly successful female executives and entrepreneurs by sharing her own personal success story about how she transitioned her career and life. I immediately related to her with my work in the business world but felt drawn to our connection in chakra healing. In developing my new energy healing program TUNE-INsight,, I was looking for an aromatherapy aspect to add to it and somehow the Universe knew that Laura and ADORAtherapy would be that connection.
Q: What is your favorite chakra boost? Why? Where do you use it? When do you use it?

A: I like to use Clear Away Room Boost Spray – I carry it around with me and schpritz wherever I go, especially before an energy healing session or a business meeting/phone call. I also use the Joy Chakra Boost, also called I Love, for the fourth Chakra . I absolutely love being able to re-boot my heart chakra with an immediate aromatic experience just by holding my wrist up to my nose and inhaling all that love and green energy!
Q: Where do you keep your adoratherapy products?

A: I keep my ADORAtherapy products in a porcelain bowl next to my vitamins on the kitchen counter. They are part of my daily morning routine. I often carry that bowl around with me to different rooms in my house, depending on where I am working. I like to have them readily available and easily accessible. And of course, I have them in my Reiki studio for my clients. I even toss them in my bag when I leave the house! There’s nothing like a good energy boost when I’m out and about or when I’m ready to perform!
Q: Anything else you want us to know?

A: My greatest achievement is not listed on my bio or my resume and is probably my biggest and most meaningful success of everything I’ve ever accomplished, which is being a mother to my incredible son, Parker. I cannot explain the joy and pride I experience because of him. I understand that being his mother is a gift from the Universe that I take very seriously, and I am forever grateful to have the opportunity to bring a wonderful and loving human into this world.

Also, as an energy practitioner who deals with chakras and their associated colors, I find that my favorite color is black. When people ask me why I wear black all the time, the answer is quite simple, black is all the colors mixed together and all the chakras working together. Wearing the color black makes me feel most comfortable and that is exactly what I desire!
